Akihito “Aki” Koyama is the senior staff attorney for Chapter 13 Trustee Kathy A. Dockery from the Central District of California, Los Angeles Division. In 1998, He started his legal career as a bankruptcy associate representing primarily debtors and moved to the Trustee’s office five years later. He has been with Trustee Dockery since 2003.
At this point in time, he has conducted 1000s of 341(a) Meetings of Creditors and Confirmation Hearings but he still finds chapter 13 to be very interesting due to the constant changes in the law and the economy. He enjoys working with the debtor and creditor bar and he has been given the pleasure of developing strong collegial relationships with the bar which has resulted in better chapter 13 results and a more fulfilling career.
