About me
I have a general practice in Memphis, Tennessee where I’ve been representing individual consumers and small businesses in Chapter 7, 13 and 11 bankruptcy since 2002. I graduated from The University of Memphis Law School in 2001 and received my B. S. in Fonance and Economics from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1993. Between undergrad and law school I was a consumer loan officer with First Union National Bank in Charlotte, NC and Nashville, TN. I'm currently the NACBA State Chair for Tennessee. We need to get our legislature to increase our Tennessee homestead exemption from the current levels of $5,000 for single individuals and $7,500 for married couples. It was recently expanded but only for people with minor dependent children living at home ($25,000) and also for people over 62 ($12,500) but that's not enough! We need homestead exemption reform in Tennessee!
