He has been in private practice since 1996, representing debtors in bankruptcy, consumer plaintiffs, foreclosure defense and commercial foreclosure defense. Consumer Bankruptcy Board Certified since 2003. He has participated in various successful class actions suits, vindicating consumer rights. He has trial or litigation experience in violations of the Automatic Stay, Bankruptcy Discharge, Fair Debt Practices Collection Act (FDCPA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), and the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), among other federal consumer protection statutes. He is also a graduate of O. Max Gardner III’s Bankruptcy Boot Camp. In the past served as vice-president for the Puerto Rico Bankruptcy Bar Association (PRACBA).
