About me
Kara Gendron has practiced bankruptcy law exclusively since 2001, focusing on helping individuals, farmers, and small business owners navigate Chapter 7, 11, 12, and 13 cases. She is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
In 2021, Kara was appointed as a Chapter 7 and Chapter 12 Bankruptcy Trustee by the U.S. Trustee Program within the Department of Justice, where she works to ensure fair and efficient case administration in the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
Kara values opportunities to serve the bankruptcy community through education, mentorship, and collaboration. She is Secretary of the Executive Board of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA) and chairs NACBA’s Circuit Leader Committee. She regularly organizes and presents at national and local bankruptcy law seminars, including NACBA, the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees (NABT), the National Association of Chapter 13 Trustees (NACTT), the Pennsylvania Bar Institute (PBI), and the Middle District Bankruptcy Bar Association (MDBBA), where she also serves on the board.
Kara was honored to be selected for the Advisory Board of the American Bankruptcy Law Journal (ABLJ), published by the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges (NCBJ). She also joined the Board of Directors of the American Board of Certification (ABC), which certifies attorneys as specialists in business bankruptcy, consumer bankruptcy, and creditors’ rights law.
